“These results speak volumes about my rewarding decision to engage Chip…. He has partnered with me to create sustainable strategies and outcomes, good for a lifetime. I unequivocally recommend him to anyone seeking wellness!”
When I started with Chip, my doctor had just threatened me with a lifetime of drugs if I did not lose weight, exercise, and talk to a nutritionist or wellness expert. At 57 and semi-retired from a successful career as a sales executive, I had simply been accepting the extra 30-40 lbs (“slightly overweight”) as normal. Finally, blood work/blood pressure results and years of feeling lethargic and miserable convinced me to make some changes. I wanted to stop eating mindlessly, get onto a consistent exercise program, get out of the black XL clothing, and stop taking tons of Aleve just to feel normal. I wanted to restore both mental and physical energy into my life.
So I started with Chip in mid-April 2014 and frankly wasn’t sure what to expect. After 11 weeks I have come to deeply appreciate his coaching skills and his integrated, science-based approach. My weight loss thus far is 24 lbs and still headed in the right direction. My blood work and blood pressure are normal. My daily exercise and healthy eating have given me new energy and a new body. And I have restored confidence in my own capacities to set and reach my goals.
These results speak volumes about my rewarding decision to engage Chip as my wellness coach. Setting reasonable short and long term goals with an expert (who will “listen” actively) and discussing them weekly have been the inspiration, motivation and support I have needed for a very long time. Each week brings a new round of enthusiastic and compassionate conversations regarding lifestyle changes with eating, exercise and overall mindfulness in achieving my goals. I have learned a lot about how to be healthy and about myself in the process. Chip has partnered with me to create sustainable strategies and outcomes, good for a lifetime. I unequivocally recommend him to anyone seeking wellness!

“The best move I ever made was to hire Chip as my wellness coach…. He has been a true motivator…. He has guided me to make better lifestyle choices and get on a solid, permanent path to good health. Thank you, Chip!!”
I had always been relatively fit and active, could eat anything I wanted and my clothes always fit! Then things shifted as I entered my 50’s. I could see my body changing. I was becoming complacent and as a result my weight began inching upward.
I joined a gym — never went. I joined Weight Watchers — didn’t stick with it. I needed some direction and guidance after this series of failures. I still wanted to lose weight and get fit — more than ever at that point — but my morale was low and I wasn’t sure what would work.
The best move I ever made was to hire Chip as my wellness coach. While he’s extremely knowledgable about exercise and nutrition, his real strength has been helping me change my perception about myself and what is possible. His passion for my wellness was clear, and he has been a true motivator!!
He has empowered me to really be mindful about my food intake — what I’m eating and how much — and how it impacts my body and mood. He’s also helped me to get my work schedule under control (with no loss of productivity) and to prioritize important time for my well-being. He has guided me to make better lifestyle choices and get on a solid, permanent path to good health.
I’m still working with Chip and it’s as fun and productive as ever. Thank you, Chip!!

“I was immediately hooked and inspired by his knowledge and guidance.”
Thanks to a caring and generous brother, I had the good fortune of being gifted with my first few sessions with Chip. I was immediately hooked and inspired by his knowledge and guidance. For almost three months, his coaching led me to improved personal awareness, higher self-esteem and strong, healthy life choices. Chip gave me the tools I needed to continue to improve my overall well being, and to become my own best coach. Thank you Chip…I haven’t been or felt this healthy in many years!

“What got me interested in working with Chip was a different promise…. The amazing thing is, it’s working…. Could I have done it on my own, without Chip? No. Will we keep working together until I’m sure it’s a part of my life? Yes!!”
If I wanted “amazing results” – like those promised by so many quick-fix diets — I’d go on a strict diet and exercise really hard five or six times a week. After a month or two of deprivation and a sizable time commitment, I’d be down 15-20 pounds. And I’d feel great for a while; energized, directed, determined. I’d be thinking, “In less than four months I’ll be down 40 pounds, doing 50 laps, 200 crunches, 80lb curls!”
I know, because I’ve done this dozens of times in the past forty years. Unfortunately, it never stuck; I gained the weight back and stopped exercising.
What got me interested in working with Chip was a different promise—there would be no immediate, dramatic “amazing” results. Instead, we’d try new approaches and we’d work together to fit them into my everyday life. Walking most days for 30-40 minutes. Swimming, weights and yoga at the health club at least once a week. Two or three nights without beer or wine. Cooking and eating good meals, focusing on food quality with a reasonable calorie goal. A binge day each week. All reported honestly at each weekly session, including slip-ups (I had a fried clam roll for lunch) and small triumphs (I had cole slaw with it instead of fries!). With his help, I’d be learning to make good habits—habits that I could live with and stick with.
The amazing thing is, it’s working. When I travel for business—usually a time for me to eat horribly—I eat moderately. Guests for the weekend? After a day or two of splurging, I’m back to mindful eating Monday morning. Days without some form of exercise? Rare. Weight loss? Slow and steady.
Could I have done it on my own, without Chip? No. Will we keep working together until I’m sure it’s part of my life? Yes!
